When Doncasters wanted to close down a nearby site and consolidate their businesses to improve efficiency they decided to interview a selection of suitable contractors for the project. Following the interview we were engaged to provide a full Design & Build solution to provide a large factory extension without disturbing vital extraction plant to the rear of the existing structure. We developed a scheme to prepare and fill the site and remediate the ground using vibro ground improvement. We then carried out a full steel framed factory build, with all services and incorporating two large structural mezzanines, one for plant and one for new offices and welfare facilities.
Once the build was complete we then developed a new rear yard and car park and formed a completey new access driveway at the rear of the site to create a new staff entrance and delivery tanker exit route.
The offices were fully designed and fitted out and the entire project handed over to the clients' satisfaction.

The new building needed to provide additional space whilst linking seamlessly with the existing buildings some of which dated back to the fifties.
